The Red Deer Regional Hospital Intensive Care Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing services to patients and families in the critical care setting. The ICU RN will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in patient care, health promotion, and maintenance while reflecting the values of AHS.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations

Utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making

Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families

Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care

Provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program

Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification

Minimum 2 years acute care Medical/surgical experience and/or ICU experience

Excellent computer and communication skills

Willingness to learn new skills through Professional Development activities

ACLS certification considered an asset
