Wainwright is a vibrant & friendly rural community of around 7,000 located in east-central Alberta on highways 14 & 41. The Wainwright general medicine unit consists of a 20-bed in-patient unit. Primary duties are within the general medicine floor at the Wainwright Health Centre, with collaboration and assistance with Obstetrics & Emergency Units. This benefit eligible casual (BECE) position offers a specified FTE with flexibility in scheduling.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program

Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification

If not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of specific courses is required
