This job posting is for a temporary position at Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach, Manitoba. The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) in the Regional Surgical Program. The successful candidate will work 0.60 FTE on a relief/on-call basis.

The RN/RPN will apply the nursing process to support clients in achieving and maintaining their optimum health. The position requires ongoing education and competency maintenance in line with organizational policies and professional standards.

The incumbent must exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods. The role aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Key Responsibilities:

Completion of Peri-op 101 course within three months of starting

Relief position with non-conforming rotation

The successful candidate must have completed approved Operating Room nursing education and hold current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses. Basic Life Support certification and a valid Class 5 driver's license are also required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

 Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute, Transitional, PCH, Primary Care, Public HealthHealthy Living, Home Care, Oncology/Cancer Care).
 Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an allpurpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.
