Halton Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care, triage, and nursing assessment in all areas of the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will administer care to adult and pediatric patients from all triage priorities, including critical care. Responsibilities may include transporting critical patients to other facilities.

Qualifications:

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Current ACLS Certification required

Minimum of 2 years current Emergency nursing experience required

ECG monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation skills required

Post-diploma Emergency courses preferred

Computer skills an asset

IV therapy skills required

Excellent teaching and public relations skills

Good team player with self-directed abilities

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position

Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

The ideal candidate should excel in patient-centered care in a dynamic environment, driving change and innovation. Strong communication skills, a clear patient focus, and the ability to manage execution and foster teamwork are essential.
