Halton Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will provide patient care, triage, and nursing assessment for adult and pediatric patients of all triage priorities. This role requires diverse skills, including stabilization of critically ill patients and first aid. The nurse may also transport critical patients to other facilities.

Qualifications:

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Current ACLS Certification required

Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency nursing experience

ECG monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation skills required

Post-diploma Emergency courses preferred

Computer skills an asset

IV therapy skills required

Excellent teaching and public relations skills

Good team player

Self-directed

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position

Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
