Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, you will teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health promotion. The rate of pay for Provisional Permit holders is $40.76 to $55.79 per hour, which will be adjusted upon obtaining a full practice permit.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Completion of CRNA Medication Management and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification if not practiced as an RN in the past five years
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of one year recent critical care nursing experience
At least one year of current experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in a healthcare team
Physical capabilities to lift up to 50 lbs, tolerate prolonged standing, and perform hands-on patient care
Preferred Qualifications:
Current certification in Defibrillation, ECG interpretation, Temporary pacemaker management, and Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Current ACLS certification through the Heart and Stroke Foundation
Experience with Connect Care and procedural sedation
