Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will use critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and families. You will support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, reflecting shared vision and values. Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour, with adjustments upon obtaining a full practice permit.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum one year experience in Acute Care / Obstetrics / Emergency setting within the past two years, working to full RN scope of practice.
Ability to perform and document physical assessments, administer medications in the acute care setting.
Critical thinking skills, clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective team member with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic computer skills and experience with Netcare, Connect Care (EPIC).
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Central Zone Obstetrics Postpartum and Labour and Delivery education.
Recent experience with obstetrical patients and/or newborn babies.
Certificates in FERN, CTAS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, CAM B, Lead II, Palliative care courses, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Obs 101, and wound care education.
