Preferred qualifications include Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale, Connect Care trained, and completion of a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training course

The place of work is in a community designated for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness. Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre is a large rural hospital with 3 inpatient units ranging from 16  27 beds. The facility also includes an Emergency department, Operating Rooms, an Obstetrical unit, and other community outpatient programs such as Endoscopy, rehabilitation services, Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging. Wetaskiwin is located 70 km south of Edmonton in the heart of Central Alberta. Wetaskiwin is a city rich in history, culture and diversity.
