The Red Deer Regional Hospital Intensive Care Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing services to patients and families in a critical care setting. The RN will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize nursing processes through critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making
Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care
Provide safe, quality patient and family centered care
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Minimum 2 years acute care Medical/surgical experience and/or ICU experience
Excellent computer and communication skills
Proven competence in relevant technical nursing skills
Demonstrated responsibility for maintaining continuing competence and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to work shifts and meet physical job requirements
