Provisional Permit holders will receive $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the pay rate will adjust to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii).

Key Responsibilities:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program

Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of accredited Perioperative Nurse Certification

Maintains ORNAC, NAPCAN, CRNA, and AHS Best Practices

Participate in After Hour Call Rotation and able to return to AHS facility within the rural timeframe for response

Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Maintain a focus on patient-centered care

Able to tolerate constant physical demands within a fast-paced unit

Preferred Qualifications:

ACLS, Accredited Perioperative Anesthesia Certification

Experience supporting various medical procedures and care settings

Charge Nurse and Preceptor Experience

Experience supporting Quality Improvement, Change Management, and Best Practice Guidelines

Demonstrates collaborative care with diverse populations

NVCI certification
