Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, you will teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Your role will involve playing a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health promotion. You will provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting shared vision and values.

Provisional Permit holders will receive $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the pay rate will adjust to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of accredited Perioperative Nurse Certification
  • Maintains ORNAC, NAPCAN, CRNA, and AHS Best Practices
  • Participate in After Hour Call Rotation and able to return to AHS facility within the rural timeframe for response
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a focus on patient-centered care
  • Able to tolerate constant physical demands within a fast-paced unit
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS, Accredited Perioperative Anesthesia Certification
  • Experience supporting various medical procedures and care settings
  • Charge Nurse and Preceptor Experience
  • Experience supporting Quality Improvement, Change Management, and Best Practice Guidelines
  • Demonstrates collaborative care with diverse populations
  • NVCI certification
