The Registered Nurse at the Post-Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) in South Health Campus will provide care for post-operative patients, including those post-caesarean section, post-ECT, post-cardioversion, post-surgical in-patients, ICU overflow patients, and assist with regional blocks. The role involves a wide variety of nursing services to ensure patient safety and well-being, utilizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. The nurse will also play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health promotion.

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Minimum 3 years recent experience in an urban adult PACU or ICU, or Emergency Department
Strong ECG interpretation knowledge
Experience in caring for intubated patients, working with central and arterial lines, assisting with inotropes/vasoactive medications, and caring for post-surgical in-patients
Preferred qualifications include SHC experience, ETCO2 monitoring experience, caring for post C-section patients, ACLS certification, Charge Nurse experience, and Connect Care experience
