Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, you will also teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Playing a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, you will provide safe, quality, patient, and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Provisional Permit holders will receive $40.76 to $55.79 per hour, which will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate upon obtaining a full practice permit.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Acute care experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to perform physical duties such as walking long distances, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching above shoulder, and lifting a minimum of 20 kg
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Function effectively within a dynamic environment
- Work to full scope as a Registered Nurse
- Leadership skills, including mentorship/coaching and teaching
- Competency in de-escalation and managing patients with complex psychosocial needs

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience caring for hematology patients
- Experience in administering systemic treatment
- Experience with elements of CoAct and collaborative care
- Experience with Clinical Trials or Palliative certification and/or experience
- Experience with wound care, PVADs, and CVADs

- Charge Nurse experience
