The Registered Nurse (RN) at the Sheldon Chumir Urgent Care provides holistic care to patients, families, and communities. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care at the 24/7 Urgent Care Centre. The nurse collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care in a diverse community setting.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program.

Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current ACLS certification from the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.

At least one year of recent adult acute care nursing experience.

Recent nursing experience in Emergency or Urgent Care settings.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse clients.

Physical ability to lift/push/pull, bend, reach, and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced certifications such as PALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC.

Recent training in NVCI, CTAS, cardiac monitoring, and triage.

Experience with Connect Care (EPIC) ASAP and charge nurse responsibilities.

Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and wellbeing. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Required Qualifications:
