Description:
The Foothills Medical Centre Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (FMC NICU) in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care for critically ill neonates. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, providing family teaching and leadership within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The RN will also facilitate family-centered care and preceptorship of new staff and students.
As an RN, you will deliver a wide range of nursing services, ensuring patient safety and well-being. You will use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide quality patient care and support health promotion. Provisional Permit holders will receive $40.76 to $55.79 per hour until obtaining a full practice permit. The successful applicant must commit to completing a detailed level 3 NICU orientation program, which typically takes 8-10 weeks.
