Qualifications:

Graduate from a recognized school of Nursing required; Baccalaureate Degree preferred

 Current CPR / First Aid Certification / Equivalency required
 One (1) year of experience in a Hospice / Palliative Care environment required
 Experience as a charge nurse preferred
 Strong interpersonal relationship and communication skills and able to utilize professional judgment
 Strong assessment skills and critical thinking skills considered an asset
 Exhibits open and sincere approach to relating to people by demonstrating respect and compassion for everyone equally
 Recognizes and responds effectively to verbal and nonverbal cues with exceptional active listening skills
 Ability to cope with moral distress related to end of life care
 Ability to cope with frequent changes such as daily routine, workload, shifts and resident needs
 Exceptional multitasking and time management skills
 Required proof of completion of vaccination
