Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making, you will also teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Playing a leadership role in patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, you will reflect the shared vision and values of AHS.

Teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families
Play a leadership role in health promotion and maintenance
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Successful completion of NCLEX exam
Experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department within the last 2 years
Minimum 5 years acute medicine/surgery experience may be considered
Completion of Emergency Nursing Provincial Education Program (ENPEP) modules or equivalent certification
Routinely demonstrate strong prioritization and assessment skills
Basic computer skills, familiarity with Connect Care, Netcare, and PYXIS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good command of the English language
Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision
Physical capability of performing all aspects of the role (bending, crouching, kneeling, overhead lifting, and mobilization of bariatric patients)
Preferred Qualifications:
ACLS, ACCN, TNCC, ENPC, PALS certification
Cardiac Monitoring/ECG Interpretation
