Description:

Health Shared Services (HSS) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the role of Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) in the Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Department in Edmonton. The OHN will work independently and collaborate with the WHS Leadership Team to develop and manage programs ensuring the health protection of HSS People. Responsibilities include providing leadership, developing strategies, coordinating educational tools/resources, and implementing projects for employee health surveillance. The OHN will be involved in patient care, immunization, blood and body fluid exposures, and disease prevention programs.

As an RN, you will provide nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, and decision-making to provide patient-centered care and support health promotion. Provisional Permit holders will be paid $39.58 - $54.16 per hour, with adjustments upon obtaining a full license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Occupational Health Nursing
  • Facilitation and/or coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of the Occupational Health Nursing Post Diploma/Degree Certificate within three (3) years of hire date
  • CNA Certified Occupational Health Nursing (C) Canada preferred
