Description:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, you will teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Your role will involve supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, while providing safe, quality, patient, and family-centered care in line with the organization's vision and values.
Provisional Permit holders will receive $40.76 to $55.79 per hour, with an adjustment to the applicable Registered Nurse rate upon obtaining a full practice permit.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Eligibility for Graduate Nurses, Graduate Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Registered Psychiatric Nurses who graduated within 12 months before the program start date and have not secured a regular position with AHS, Covenant Health, or Recovery Alberta.

Additional Required Qualifications:
- Meet Physical Demands Requirements due to the unit's emergent nature, including significant walking, standing, seated work requiring substantial force, handling weights, pushing/pulling, assistance during deliveries, patient handling, transferring patients, and helping patients ambulate post-epidural.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completed a clinical preceptorship in Obstetrics at a level two or three facility within the last two (2) years.
