As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, you will teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Provisional Permit holders will receive $40.76 to $55.79 per hour, with an adjustment to the applicable Registered Nurse rate upon obtaining a full practice permit.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
• Eligibility for Graduate Nurses, Graduate Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Registered Psychiatric Nurses who graduated within 12 months before the program start date and have not secured a regular position with AHS, Covenant Health, or Recovery Alberta.
• Candidates selected for an interview must review the UNA Letter of Understanding #29 - Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program before the interview.

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Meet Physical Demands Requirements due to the unit's emergent nature, including significant walking, standing, seated work requiring substantial force, handling weights, pushing/pulling, assistance during deliveries, patient handling, transferring patients, and helping patients ambulate post-epidural.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completed a clinical preceptorship in Obstetrics at a level two or three facility within the last two (2) years.
