As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. Utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, you will also teach, counsel, and advocate for patients and their families. Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Eligibility for Graduate Nurses, Graduate Psychiatric Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Registered Psychiatric Nurses who have graduated within 12 months prior to the program start date
  • Candidates selected for an interview must review the UNA Letter of Understanding #29 - Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program

  • Additional Required Qualifications:

  • Staff must lift up to 30 lbs during emergencies or systemic therapy
  • Physical strength and mobility are essential for CPR and emergency responses
  • Extended periods of standing, sitting, repetitive motions, and adherence to scheduled break times may be required
  • Meeting these requirements ensures safety and high standards of care at the Jack Ady Cancer Centre
