Position Title: Registrar, Eye Health Screening Initiative

Location: Any VLRC office in Canada

Term: Part-time, permanent, up to 15 hours per week

Reports To: National Director, Eye Health Screening Initiative

Salary: $20 - $27.78/hour or as per the applicable collective agreement

I. Scope And Summary Of Primary Responsibilities

In covering a broad range of duties, the emphasis of this position is to utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) application to register clients, gather and record client information, and to assign client records to appropriate staff, ensuring EMR workflow processes are adhered to. This position provides functional expertise within the comprehensive provision of vision rehabilitation services, using the EMR application.

II. Essential Functions

  • With a National scope, completes the Common Triage Tool, and updates Registration and Eye Information pages within EMR
  • Understands and able to provide information about VLRC services and resources
  • Flags urgent/critical situations to Supervisor or other designated staff
  • Ensures all client information is accurately entered into EMR in a timely manner
  • Scans documents into the EMR, using naming convention standards
  • Updates client status in the EMR
  • Manages workload and EMR caseload in effective and efficient manner</
