Your Opportunity: Assisted Living Alberta is dedicated to Enhancing Care in the Community, helping people be healthy, well, and independent in their homes and communities. We are looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join our Home Living team to provide professional support services in the homes of clients of all ages and stages of life. This position works within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team consisting of various healthcare professionals. Using strong clinical and interpersonal skills, you will implement respiratory therapy services in accordance with regulatory and ALA practice standards, engaging clients, family/caregivers, physicians, and broader health care teams. Respiratory therapy services may include direct therapeutic services, education, and connection to resources.

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will assess patients, develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans, monitor progress, collaborate with clinical teams, educate patients and families, and provide training on respiratory equipment. This role requires active registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA) and graduation from a registered school of Respiratory Therapy. Strong communication, assessment, professional judgment, initiative, and time management skills are necessary. Experience in a Continuing Care setting, Connect Care, Palliative care, and knowledge of the RAI are preferred qualifications.
