Shared Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join their team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services under general supervision. Shared Health coordinates patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba.
Experience
Recent and related clinical experience preferred.
Education
Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Current registration with the MARRT required.
Current registration/membership in the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists preferred.
CPR training requirements in accordance with Employer policy.
Qualifications and Skills
Preference given to those competent in an Indigenous language or knowledge of Indigenous customs.
Ability to establish good interpersonal relationships.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines.
Knowledge of patient care aspects.
Ability to organize assignments with minimal supervision.
Willingness to adapt to new concepts and best practices.
Experience with computers and office software.
Physical Requirements
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual ventilation for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift heavy medical equipment.
May be exposed to various health hazards.
