Join our Acute and Critical Care team at Chinook Regional Hospital in beautiful Lethbridge, Alberta, where you will practice as a Respiratory Therapist I, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to diagnose and manage patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary disorders. Your responsibilities include delivering high-quality respiratory care, educating patients and staff, supporting process improvement, and advocating for patients using patient- and family-centered care principles.

As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients, develop care plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with clinical teams to enhance outcomes. You will provide training on respiratory equipment, educate patients and families on diseases and treatments, and work in various hospital areas. This position is classified as Resp Therapist I under the HSAA Facility PROF/TECH union at Chinook Regional Hospital.

Required qualifications include active registration with CARTA, current BLS-HCP certification, recent acute care experience, NRP certification, and the ability to work day/night rotations. Preferred qualifications include neonatal ventilation experience, PALS and ACLS certifications, and competency in arterial line insertion and adult intubation. A commitment to professional development, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential for success in this role.
