Responsibilities include managing and maintaining respiratory equipment, offering training to healthcare providers and patients, and collaborating with clinical teams to enhance outcomes. Fort McMurray, located in the scenic boreal forest of Northern Alberta, offers access to lakes, rivers, and provincial parks, as well as cultural and recreational activities. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess patients, develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans, and monitor progress.

Manage diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions.

Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance outcomes.

Provide training on respiratory equipment to healthcare providers and educate patients and families on diseases, medications, equipment, and treatments.

Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
