Required Qualifications:

Active or eligible registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.

Current BLS certification with expiration date.

Minimum 1 year independent clinical Respiratory Therapy experience in an acute care hospital setting within the last 2 years.

Physical requirements include being on feet for extended periods, exposure to infectious diseases, and ability to assist in patient transport.

Preferred Qualifications:

Independent RRT acute care experience in ICU, ER, Wards, NICU, Outreach.

NRP/PALS/ACLS/CRE/CTE/CAE certification/instructor.

Professional development courses within the last 2 years.

N95 fit test designate and tobacco reduction training.

Participation in healthcare committees or working groups.

Health-related degree and CSRT membership.

Formal preceptor training and charge experience.

RGH site orientation.
