This job posting is for a research position at the University of Alberta in the Li Ka Shing Applied Virology Group. The position involves supporting the supervisor's research program focused on developing drugs against viral-induced lymphomas. Responsibilities include conducting research activities, working closely with the PI and Computational Modeler, drafting research manuscripts, and supporting lab activities. Qualifications include an MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering, 8 years of research experience, and a strong background in molecular biology, immunology, and virology.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research activities aimed at identifying and developing new drug candidates for viral-induced lymphomas.
  • Works closely with the PI and the Computational Modeler to design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and prepare reports.
  • Assists in drafting research manuscripts and grant applications.
  • Develops experimental protocols and data collection plans.
  • Supports the supervision of technical staff and students.
  • Works with the lab manager for lab maintenance and operation.
  • Qualifications:

  • MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering.
  • 8 years of research experience.
  • Strong background in molecular biology, immunology, and virology.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
