Description:

Alberta Health Services (AHS), Southeast Corridor is seeking a Corridor Medical Advisor (CMA) - Physician Recruitment MHRH. This leadership role involves promoting and representing physician recruitment activities for the Corridor Clinical Departments, reporting to the SE Corridor Medical Lead (CML).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Advancing the perspective, advice, and physician resource requirements of Corridor Clinical Departments

Promoting and representing physician recruitment activities of the Corridor Clinical Departments

Collaborating with other Medical and Operational leaders in the Southwest Corridor and AHS provincially

Collaborating with external stakeholders including Alberta Health (AH), Alberta Medical Association (AMA), College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), and Community Leaders

Working with Corridor Medical Affairs to maintain the Practitioner Workforce Plan

Collaborating with Corridor Medical Affairs in all phases of physician recruitment and retention

Reviewing and promoting the most effective utilization of resources with Corridor Medical Affairs and Site/Department Operational Leads

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and conflict resolution skills, a passion for quality and patient safety, and a Corridor-Wide perspective with a leadership approach contributing to the broader vision. The CMA will engage collaboratively with various healthcare professionals and services within AHS for improved healthcare and safe, quality patient care.
