This seasonal role from March 23, 2026, to May 22, 2026, involves analyzing oilseed samples using various methods, operating laboratory instruments, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring accurate measurements. The role also requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze oilseed samples using Gas Chromatography, NIR, and Spectrometry methods.

Operate laboratory instruments for sample preparation.

Maintain accurate records and complete data entry tasks.

Follow safety protocols and handle hazardous materials properly.

Contribute to a safe work environment and complete routine lab maintenance activities.

Perform other duties as needed to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent certificate required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Ability to manage detailed data accurately and efficiently.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.

Minimum 1 year of work experience in an analytical lab is a plus.

Analyze oilseed samples using Gas Chromatography (GC), NIR and Spectrometry methods.
 Operate laboratory instruments for sample preparation.
 Properly clean instruments, following prescribed guidelines to ensure accurate measurements and precise results.
 Complete data entry tasks with keen attention to data integrity.
 Proficiently use technology tools to save, transfer, and report volumes of data.
 Maintain accurate and legible manual logbooks and electronic records.
 Efficiently sort samples in an organized manner, visually inspecting samples to measure against criteria.
 Perform routine, general lab maintenance activities.
 Model our core value of safety by always using personal protective equipment (PPE), such as a lab coat, gloves, and safety glasses.
 Actively contribute to a safe work environment by properly handling hazardous materials, such as organic solvents and bases.
 Routinely follow quality control protocols.
 Complete other duties and assignments as needed to meet business objectives.

What You'll Bring:

A High School Diploma or equivalent certificate is required.
 Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel for data input and recordkeeping.
 Skilled in recording and managing accurate, detailed data and information.
 Accountable to team members by completing assigned duties based on priority.
 A proactive approach in providing assistance where needed.
 Capable of completing repetitive work with efficiency and accuracy.
 Skilled in completing analysis with critical thinking.
 A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Chemistry, or Bioscience is preferred but not required.
 A minimum of 1 year of previous work experience in an analytical lab is a plus.
