As one of Canada's most established healthcare and rehabilitation companies, Lifemark is seeking a Senior Kinesiologist for their Surrey Nordel Way location. The successful candidate will work within a diverse team of healthcare professionals and have the opportunity to assist with active rehabilitation and return-to-work planning. This full-time position offers exposure to complex occupational rehabilitation cases and the chance to collaborate with a team of clinicians.

In this role you will:

Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship of a physiotherapist

Design, implement, and supervise exercise programs

Record findings in client charts

Work with clients to achieve functional goals

Develop return-to-work plans

Participate in team conferences

Qualifications:

Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program

2+ years of experience required

Experience with return-to-work programs considered an asset

Membership with the BC Association of Kinesiologists required

In addition to singlestream care plans, we also service various specialty programs for occupational rehabilitation, early concussion, mental health reactivation, and veterans' care.The successful candidate will posses the ability to inquire for essential job demands, perform functional assessments, develop active exercise programs, and assist with returntowork planning. This position will provide the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of clinicians, as well as provide exposure to complex occupational rehabilitation cases. Mandatory requirements: Registered KINIn this role you will:

Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist
 Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and/or work hardening programs
 Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing
 Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
 Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
 Conduct program orientations, group classes, and regular oneonone education
 Assess essential job demands through vocational interviews or job site assessments
 Develop returntowork plans with clients and employers
 Complete functional and vocational components of reports for initial, progress and discharge
 Participate in team conferences and collaborate with team members through rounds

Qualifications:

Graduate of university Kinesiology degree program
 2+ years of experience is required
 Experience with returntowork programs is considered an asset
 Membership with the BC Association of Kinesiologists is a requirement
