Description:

This job posting is for a limited position in Construction Services within the Engineering Services Division of the Community Infrastructure Department. The position is located in St. Clair and will last from April 25, 2026, to November 27, 2026. The job entails various duties related to aggregate and concrete testing, as well as maintaining lab equipment and records.

Under the general supervision of the Chief Field Inspector, the successful candidate will collect samples for testing, perform tests to ensure compliance with specifications, and advise on the quality and quantity of aggregates. The individual will also need to interpret test results, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education, including specific courses in math and science.
  • Up to six months of soils testing experience.
  • Ability to operate soils testing equipment.
  • Proficiency in English, with French skills considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance coverage.
  • Competencies: Competency Library - Level 1 Proficiency
