Description:

The Institute of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at the University of Toronto is seeking a Teaching Lab and Design Studio Coordinator to join their team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all Teaching Laboratory and Design Studio activities, equipment, and Health and Safety inquiries. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty to ensure classes run smoothly and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing lab experiments with precision and attention to detail
  • Providing explanations and demonstrating procedures to students and employees
  • Coordinating experiment set-up with course instructors
  • Ensuring compliance with lab safety procedures
  • Ordering necessary supplies
  • Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of relevant laboratory experience
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Experience in database management and chemical preparation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Assets:

  • Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering
  • Experience with biomedical monitor equipment
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM design and MatLab programming
