Description:

Our Health Care Operations department is seeking a Technical Rules Analyst to ensure timely referrals-to-treatment for injured workers and accurate payments to healthcare providers. This role involves translating complex business policies into actionable rules, optimizing systems, and analyzing data to enhance payment accuracy and efficiency. The position offers 2 temporary opportunities lasting 12 and 15 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain business rules for an automated claims adjudication engine
  • Lead cross-divisional committees to implement rule changes
  • Analyze health care and claims data to identify gaps and recommend improvements
  • Support the implementation of rule changes and system updates
  • Develop communication strategies for distributing information
  • Provide input into contract negotiation and proposed service delivery changes
  • Consult on and implement projects, including preparing schedules and developing test plans
  • Provide work direction to the technical rules administrator
  • Qualifications:

  • Plan, prioritize, and monitor complex activities to meet deadlines
  • Understand and communicate business and technical requirements
  • Apply project management techniques
  • Present data using MS Excel and Word
  • Your background and experience should include a degree in business administration or related field, a minimum of three years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or systems analysis, and experience in healthcare is an asset. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Tableau, and/or SQL is also beneficial.
