The Audiology Team is seeking a Therapy Assistant in Peace River to support audiology services by assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include performing newborn hearing screenings, supporting audiologists during assessments, managing referrals, troubleshooting equipment, and ordering supplies. The role offers a competitive rate of pay with a Remote Retention Allowance up to $3,000 annually.

As a Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of various healthcare professionals to provide rehabilitation services across all age groups. You will collaborate with internal and external partners, demonstrate professionalism, and contribute to quality improvement and program planning. The role requires completion of an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program, at least 3 years of experience working with pediatric populations, and strong communication skills with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform newborn hearing screenings
  • Support audiologists during assessments
  • Manage referrals and triage using Connect Care system
  • Maintain and troubleshoot audiology equipment
  • Monitor and order clinical supplies
