Description:

The Undergraduate Program Assistant - Receptionist in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia is responsible for providing support in coordinating and administering the Undergraduate Programs. The primary duties include responding to inquiries, maintaining information resources, updating schedules, booking rooms, assisting with event planning, and handling various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries related to the Department of Computer Science and the Undergraduate Program
  • Maintain and update information resources for students and instructors
  • Assist with room bookings, course scheduling, and student appointments
  • Coordinate event logistics and provide support for departmental committees
  • Handle phone inquiries, manage email accounts, and assist with invigilation duties
  • Order textbooks and teaching materials, administer access control for students
  • Maintain web content and resources for student inquiries
  • Coordinate office supply orders and manage office Lost & Found
  • Perform other duties as required to support the undergraduate program and department
  • Qualifications:

  • High School graduation with a post-secondary diploma and three years of related experience
