Description:

Southwest Veterinary Hospital in London, ON is looking for a calm, compassionate, and organized Emergency / Urgent Care Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role involves supporting clients during stressful moments and ensuring the smooth flow of urgent and emergency cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and support clients during emergency and urgent care visits
  • Answer phones and triage calls
  • Obtain client and patient information
  • Manage emergency intake, estimates, invoicing, and payment processing
  • Communicate with medical team members
  • Support clinic flow during peak emergency hours

    • Qualifications:

  • Previous veterinary, emergency, or medical reception experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and compassionate under pressure
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with invoicing and estimates
  • Comfortable handling sensitive conversations
  • Proficient with computers; experience with AVImark or similar software an asset
  • Team-focused, adaptable, and dependable
